A figure in a pink dress took center stage in front of the senior section of the spirit bowl. The figure had a shaved head, blue jacket, blood coming out of the left nostril, and a box of Eggos in hand. It must’ve been Eleven from Stranger Things… wait… It was Keaton Campbell?

The “Stranger Seniors” roared as Campbell walked out onto the court, shining their phone flashlights on him as Jonny Cook, Sophie Smith, Anna Crump, Sophie Baddley, and Lauren Brown rode bikes out to join.

As they all hopped off their bikes, the song Should I Stay or Should I Go by the Clash played while they performed a routine choreographed by Baddley.

“It was hard at first to come up with things that went along with both stranger things and the song Should I Stay or Should I Go, but collaborating with all the group members and having rehearsals together really made everything a lot easier, and more fun too! I’m so so so happy with how it all turned out at the spirit bowl.” Baddley said.

Throughout the performance Cook showed off his talents by doing various back handsprings and flips. The others cheered him on and performed some tricks of their own.

However, the ending was what made the lip sync stand out against the rest. The entire senior class had been instructed beforehand that when Campbell jumped on Cook’s back at the end of the song, he would put his hand up (much like Eleven does she uses her powers), and the student section would all fall backwards.

A confetti cannon covered the seniors as Campbell used his powers on them. They all fell backwards onto one another, laughing and cheering for the lip sync.

“[The lip sync] turned out super fun. It looked so cool when everyone fell, it made me feel like I really had powers.” Campbell said.

As the activities came to an end, the seniors ended up on top, they earned a first place title in the spirit bowl.
