Students cheered on the rams underneath black makeup and ratted hair as Highland shot on to victory Tuesday night. Students showed their support by wearing the freakiest of costumes.

Seniors Mark Orlandi and Carter Robinson led the night dressed in white face paint and an over reaching smile.

The two Jokers took home the grand prize as best dressed at this year’s Freak East.

It took Orlandi and Robinson three hours to achieve Joker perfection for the most anticipated game of the year.

Lucky winner, Ronak Intwala took home second place. Intwala dressed as a prison inmate pierced with silver hoops.

Intwala dedicated four hours to his masterpiece of which he wears every year. Such detail was seen in every crevice of his frightening face.

Third place was handed to football star, John Hunter who sported an East cheer outfit crowned with a sparkling tiara.

“My sister was a cheerleader for East like ten years ago so that’s where I got the idea” Hunter said.

The award for worst dressed was given to East’s Virginia Hill and Griffin Van Minde.

Hill wore a black garbage bag crowned with a diadem while Minde wore a tight tux bodysuit.

“I was stoked about the game so I thought I had to dress my best” Minde said.

Not only did the Highland basketball boys defeat East and bring home a big win but the best dressed did as well. For Orlandi, Robinson, Intwala and Hunter the effort to look freaky paid off.
