Lady Rams take a tough loss

Highlands Lady Rams took a tough loss today against the East High leopards, with a final score of 2-1. This being their second loss to the Leopards this season #2 Lily Olson said:

“One of my proudest moments this game was when we scored on them first, and all in all we played a lot better this game than the first.”

Emma Thornton #22 scored the Rams goal 20 minutes into the first half, off a corner kick from Freedom Flowers. Holding the Leopards down first half with the 1-0 score, the Rams struggled to shut down the Leopards midfield second half, and connecting passes seemed to be a another struggle this game. Twenty minutes into the second half the Leopards followed the Rams lead with a goal from a corner kick, and the goal streak was continued 5 minutes after with a goal post bounced shot.

This may have discouraged the Rams but, even with the sun beating down they stayed well organized and kept their focus on the Leopards talented players. Although this loss took the Rams out of the options for play offs, their season will be finished off with perseverance and hard work.
