Lady Rams basketball Team Takes On The Mustangs In 2nd Preseason Game

Bria Neeleman

Despite their best efforts lady rams were defeated in their second preseason game against Herriman on tuesday night(48-36). The loss was not despite their best efforts, they were rebounding, hustling, and playing as a team. It came down to taking care of the ball, limiting turnovers would have deemed the rams victorious. Having ten more preseason games, will the lady rams figure out what they need to do to win?

They came ready to fight, having a very close game until the last few minutes of the fourth quarter where they couldn’t pull it out a win.

Junior Kaija Glasker lady rams highest scorer of the game says

“It was a hard loss, but a very good learning experience, and good preparation for the season”

In preseason it is just considered a warm up to face their region which is extremely difficult this year and every game will be a battle.

After having a 5 day moratorium due to thanksgiving it was hard for athletes to come back in fighting shape, only having one day to prepare was hard for athletes, but for their friday game(11/30) against Alta they will be going into the game more prepared than ever.

Studying game film is a daily occurrence for the lady rams do, to learn from their mistakes, and get ready for the team they are about to play, whether they need to change their defense, or mix up their usual plays. Herriman having no current game flow through the rams out of their flow, and they felt ill prepared mentally, and physically.
