Cubby’s Review

Cubbys Review

Cubby’s Chicago Beef came to Sugarhouse just last year and has been a hit ever since it opened. Located on 2130 Highland Dr. this restaurant offers a variety of Burgers, Sandwiches, and Salads. It has a modern feel to it and has a welcoming feeling when you walk in the door. The service was relatively quick and the employees were polite and I was greeted by their manager at the door. I ordered a Tri Tip sandwich with sweet potato fries on the side. The sandwich did not have anything to die for but as soon as I dipped it into some spicy BBQ sauce, it changed the sandwich. The sauce gave the sandwich the extra flavor that it was lacking. The highlight of the meal for me was the sweet potato fries with the chipotle fry sauce. The fries were perfectly cooked and the fry sauce made it a perfect combo. You wouldn’t think the sweet fries would mix well with a spicier sauce but it was perfect.

The only problem I had with the restaurant was the parking. Granted I went on a Saturday night at a busy time but it was very difficult to find a parking spot. The restaurant has become popular in the Sugarhouse so it would be of your best interest to go at a time that is not typically busy because the place fills up fast. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Cubby’s and it fits in very well in the Sugarhouse atmosphere.
