The Titans destroy the Rams

Last night the Highland Rams took a crushing defeat vs. the Olympus Titans. The Rams lost by 21 one the final score being 39-70. The Rams came into the game hoping to build off their exciting buzzer beater win against the East High Leopards last week. But all of their efforts were to no avail as they were beaten in almost every category of the game.

The Rams came out strong making a good effort in the first quarter. The quarter seemed to be shaping up to be a close game with the Highland starting lineup playing well. That quarter ended at the score being 12-17 for the Titans.

As the second quarter buzzer went off the Titans played with a new fire in their eyes hitting contested threes and driving straight through the defense for easy layups. As they stepped up their game the Rams couldn’t find the answer to their defense or their offense. This quarter finished with a score of 18-31 the Rams having only scored 6 points the whole quarter.

This was hole that was starting look too deep to dig themselves out of. As the third quarter began the Rams tried to rally but the Titans were to much for them on both ends of the floor the third quarter ended and the Titans had a 19 point lead 51-32.

The rams were in too deep to win now but they never gave up and they stayed about even with Olympus through the fourth quarter finishing the game at 49-70.

This puts the Rams at 8-5 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. In the conference they are in third place behind the Skyline Eagles and the Olympus Titans. Next week they play the West High Panthers and will look to rebound off this devastating loss with a win.
